February Chapter Meeting Monday 2/13/2012

Would you like to build a bridge? How about help plan the spring festival Pedalpalooza? Ever shape a jump or build a technical trail feature? Come out and join us at our monthly chapter meeting this Monday 2/13/2012 at Summitt's Wayside Tavern in Woodstock from 7-9pm and we'll get you the inside scoop on getting invloved in these projects as well the latest news on the trail head improvements at Blankets Creek and more!

Looks like too much rain to get any work done this weekend. We'll reschedule.

We're looking to get the Dwelling reroute completed and some other small projects done at Blankets Creek this month. Trails may be closed for riding, but they're always open for maintenance and improvements! Tools will be provided, but volunteers need to wear closed toe shoes, wear gloves, bring water, and bring an epi pen if you are allergic to bees. Lunch will be provided for volunteers. We will begin at 10am and usually work until about 2pm.

January 2012 Chapter Meeting 1/9 7pm

Come and join us this Monday 1/9/2012 at Summitt's Wayside Tavern in Woodstock from 7-9pm. We will be bringing everyone up-to-date and discussing plans for the new year. We have a lot on our to do list for 2012 and are looking for folks to help us get it all done! Now's the time to get in the loop for everything from planning events to building new trail.

Time to do some maintenance out at Blankets Creek to prep for winter weather. Tools will be provided, but volunteers need to wear closed toe shoes, wear gloves, bring water, and bring an epi pen if you are allergic to bees. Lunch will be provided for volunteers. We will begin at 9am and usually work until about 1pm.

December Chapter Meeting/Christmas Party on Dec. 9th at 7:00pm

The Christmas party/Dec. chapter meeting will be held on Friday, Dec. 9th at 7pm, at the clubhouse in Crestmont Subdivision. The Crestmont Clubhouse is located near Blankets Creek. Take 575 to Sixes Road, drive towards Blankets Creek, and turn right on Marble Quarry Rd, which is about 0.8 miles from the exit. Turn left into the first entrance of Crestmont Subdivision, go straight at the stop sign, and arrive at the clubhouse on the left.

BBQ and tea will be provided, but please feel free to bring a dessert and your favorite beverage of choice. Please RSVP on the Event created on our Facebook page as soon as possible (by Monday 11/14 please) so that we can order enough food.

November Chapter Meeting 11/14 Blankets Creek Clubhouse

Come on out this Monday for our regularly scheduled monthly chapter meeting. This month we will be meeting in the storage facility directly adjacent to the Blankets Creek parking lot. Look for the path leading through the woods from the grassy area on the west side of the parking area. Food will be provided and we will be bringing everyone up-to-date on the latest news. Bring a chair and a beverage.

Mega Trail Building Party - Sat, Nov. 12th @ Rope Mill

Calling in all favors!!!

We need your help! We have 1.5 miles of backcut and final clean up needed to complete the new 2 mile trail at Rope Mill park officially named the Explorer trail. This trail is named in honor of Taylor Randahl's Ford Explorer truck that would take him to new and exciting trail systems. The trail style is open and flowing - like a Mini Dwelling Loop at Blankets Creek - and will be a welcome addition to the Taylor Randahl Memorial Bike Trail system.

Please join us on Saturday, Nov 12th from 9am - 1pm. Tools and free lunch will be provided. Please bring gloves, water, and closed toe shoes.

If you haven't attended a trail building party this year and enjoy Rope Mill and Blankets Creek parks, please help us out and attend this event.

Costume Ride on 10/30 at noon

There will be a group ride on Dwelling on Sunday, 10/30, at 12:00. Wear a costume and have some fun. Meet in the skills area at Blankets Creek by noon, and the ride will proceed from the skills yard.

Rope Mill will be closed on 10/29 during Dirty Duathlon

Tomorrow, 10/29, is the big event. The trails at Rope Mill will be closed during the event, which should end at noon.
